Lieutenant Rodarius Mauldin

Lieutenant Rodarius Mauldin’s law enforcement career began in 2005 with the Alabama State Board of Pardons & Parole where he served as a Probation Officer and an Investigator. He began his career with the Birmingham Police Department in 2010 and has had the privilege to serve in several position within the Birmingham Police Department. He began at South Precinct where he served as a Patrol Officer, then joined the High Intensity Community Oriented Policing Unit. 

In 2014, Lt. Mauldin was assigned to the Community Service Division as a Project Coordinator. Soon after, he was assigned to the Mayor’s Executive Dignitary Protection Detail. Lt. Mauldin also served in various assignments including Crimes Against Property Detective, and in the Hiring and Recruiting Unit.

In 2019, Lieutenant Mauldin was promoted to the rank of Sergeant and assigned to the West Precinct where he served as a Shift Sergeant in the Patrol Division. He would later be named the Public Information Officer for the Birmingham Police Department where he structured and supervised the Public Information Division. After his promotion to the rank of Lieutenant in 2022, he was assigned to the Office of Administration as the Executive Assistant to the Assistant Chief of Police. 

Lieutenant Mauldin has attended several leadership and law enforcement training classes. Lieutenant Mauldin is a native of Birmingham who is an advocate for servant leadership. Mauldin earned a Bachelor of Art Degree from Alabama A &M University with a double major in Sociology/Business Administration and a minor in Criminal Justice.
