Homicide Investigation

 The Birmingham Police Department reports detectives are conducting a homicide investigation. The incident occurred  on Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at 1121 of Princeton Avenue South West.

The victim has been identified as Bryce Landrus Berry, (26), b/m of Center Point, Alabama.

 At 4:09 p.m. the officers from West Precinct responded to a call of a person shot. Officers arrived and discovered the victim lying on the ground next to his vehicle. The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel responded and the victim was pronounced deceased on the scene.

 Details are limited in this investigation. No arrest has been made in this investigation. Updates will be provided as this case develops.

 This is Birmingham’s 65th murder investigation of 2021 and 11  justifiable death investigations. The Birmingham Police Department adheres to FBI Uniform Crime Reporting guidelines set for all law enforcement agencies across the United States. FBI Uniform Crime Reporting guidelines do not require law enforcement agencies to include justifiable death investigations into the total homicide investigations counts.
