Media Release 241- Homicide Investigation- Orchid Road
The Birmingham Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation. The incident occurred on Thursday, November 24, 2022.
The victim has been identified as:
Quindarius Germon Peeples, (18), B/M, of Birmingham, Alabama.
At approximately 6:50 PM, two adult males showed up at UAB Hospital, via private vehicle, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. The victim was pronounced deceased. The second male suffered a non-life-threatening gun-shot injury.
BPD officers responded to UAB Hospital to gather information.
The preliminary investigation suggests the victims were travelling in a vehicle near the 400 Block of Orchid Road when they were fired upon by a suspect(s) in a separate vehicle.
Based on the facts gathered during this investigation, this incident does not appear to be random. The motive is still undetermined.
