Media Release 243- Help Identify Robbery Suspects

King Buffet Robbery Investigation

The Birmingham Police Department reports detectives are conducting a robbery investigation. Detectives requests assistance from the public in identifying the suspects in the attached photos.

On Sunday, November 27, 2022, an East Precinct sergeant was on patrol in the 7800 Block of Crestwood Boulevard when he entered the Kings Buffet (7873 Crestwood Boulevard).

The sergeant learned a robbery had just occurred at the restaurant. A male and female came to the restaurant and left without paying for their food. A restaurant employee questioned the couple about paying for their food while in the parking lot. When one of the suspects pulled a firearm and pointed it at the worker. The suspects fled the scene in a black 4-door sedan.

No injuries were reported.

If there is anyone with information on the identity of the suspect, we ask that they

contact BPD Robbery Detectives at 205-254-1764 or remain anonymous by contacting Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777.

Anonymous tips can also be submitted to Crime Stoppers through the Birmingham Police Department’s Mobile App. If the tip to Crime Stoppers leads to an arrest, Crime Stoppers will provide a cash reward.
