Double Homicide Investigation
The Birmingham Police Department is conducting a double homicide investigation. The incident occurred on Tuesday, November 12, 2024.
The victims will be identified upon notification to the next of kin.
At approximately 10:29 p.m., West Precinct Officers responded to a call of a vehicle on the sidewalk with bullet holes in the 1300 Block of Princeton Avenue Southwest.
When officers arrived on the scene, they observed two victims, one male and one female, inside the vehicle unresponsive and suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue Services arrived on the scene and pronounced both victims deceased.
The preliminary investigation suggests a passerby observed the vehicle in the roadway slowly moving backward and coming to a stop on the sidewalk in front of an abandoned home. The passerby also observed bullet holes in the vehicle and called 911 Emergency Services.
