Homicide Investigation
The Birmingham Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation. The incident occurred on Thursday, November 21, 2024.
The victim has been identified as:
Justin Grant, (33), B/M, of Birmingham, Alabama.
At around 3:50 p.m., East Precinct officers were dispatched to a Person Shot call in the 6000 Block of Wood Station Drive at The Park @ Wood Station apartment complex.
Officers arrived on the scene when they observed Justin Grant unresponsive inside a vehicle. He had been shot multiple times.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived and pronounced the victim deceased.
The preliminary investigation suggests the victim was inside his vehicle when he was ambushed, possibly by multiple shooters.
There is no one in custody.
