BPD Patrol Officers Make Two Arrests After Facebook Marketplace Robbery

The Birmingham Police Department reports detectives have obtained two arrest warrants on two suspects in connection to a robbery investigation. The robbery investigation began on Tuesday, December 17, 2024, in 700 Block of 81st Place South.

Suspects Information:

  1. Briana Bonds, (23), B/F, of Birmingham, Alabama.
  2. Earron Bryant, (28), B/M, of Birmingham, Alabama.

Just after 8 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to an Armed Robbery call in the 700 Block of 81st Place South.

Officers arrived on the scene when they spoke with an adult male victim; he stated he came to the address to purchase a 2015 Chrysler 200 he saw advertised on Facebook Marketplace. An adult female online seller requested cash only.

Two armed suspects robbed the victim at gunpoint.

Patrol officers investigated the offense. Their investigation led them to the 7500 Block of 67th Courtway South, where officers detained Brianna Bonds and Earron Bryant.

Officers transported both suspects to BPD Headquarters. BPD Robbery detectives interviewed both suspects. Officers then transported both suspects to the Birmingham City Jail, where officers placed them on a 48-Hour Felony Extension.

Birmingham Police Robbery detectives presented case information to the Jefferson County Magistrate’s Office. The Jefferson County Magistrate’s Office issued a Robbery 1st Degree (Firearm) warrant on Earron Bryant and Briana Bonds.

Both suspects are in the Jefferson County Jail’s custody, and they have No Bond.
