Robbery Investigation

The Birmingham Police Department reports that detectives are conducting a robbery investigation. Investigators request assistance from the public in identifying the suspect in the attached robbery video and photos.

At approximately 1:23 a.m. on Monday, October 28, 2019, the suspect entered the Chevron gas station located at 301 Robison Drive. Upon entering, the suspect walked throughout the store and approached the counter as though he was about to make a purchase. The suspect then pulled a knife and attempted to come over the counter at the clerk. As the suspect attempted to cross the counter, the clerk confronted the suspect with a broom to keep him from crossing the counter.  The suspect managed grab items from the counter area before leaving the location on foot. There were no injuries during the incident.

If there is anyone with information on the identity of the suspect, we ask that they contact BPD Robbery Detectives at 205-254-1753 or remain anonymous by contacting Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777.  If the tip to Crime Stoppers leads to an arrest, Crime Stoppers will provide a cash reward.

Surveillance video and photos of the suspect are attached.
