Homicide Investigation
The Birmingham Police Department reports that detectives are conducting a homicide investigation. The incident occurred on Wednesday January 8, 2019 at approximately 9:33 p.m.
The victim has been identified as:
Tristian Jackson, B/M, 36, of Montgomery, Alabama.
Officers from the East Precinct responded to a call of a person shot at 364 Killough Springs Road. Upon arrival officers located the victim unresponsive suffering from a gunshot wound lying inside the home. Birmingham Fire and Rescue reported to the scene along with the Jefferson County Coroner and pronounced the victim deceased on the scene.
The preliminary investigation reveals that the victim was arriving at a relative’s home when he was shot by an unknown suspect(s) as he entered the garage. There are no suspect(s) in custody. This is an ongoing investigation. Additional details will be provided as they come available.
