Arrest Made in the Eliazin Dominquez- Solis Homicide Investigation

The Birmingham Police Department reports detectives have obtained a warrant for an arrest in connection to the murder of  Eliazin Dominquez-Solis. He was shot and killed on Sunday, March 17, 2024, outside of 6233 Blocton Avenue.

The suspect has been identified as:

Jose Roberto Pablo-Morales, (36), H/M, of Fultondale, Alabama.

On Monday, April 8, 2024, Birmingham Police Detectives presented case information to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office. After an assessment of the information, detectives obtained a warrant for Murder.

On Friday, April 26, 2024, the suspect was taken into custody by our Crime Reduction Team and the US Marshals Service in the 900 Block of 47th Place North.

Jose Roberto Pablo-Morales is in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail, and he has No Bond.

Homicide Investigation

The Birmingham Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation. The incident occurred on Sunday, March 17, 2024.

The victim has been identified as:

Eliazin Dominguez-Solis, (37), H/M, of Birmingham, Alabama.

Shortly after 10 a.m., West Precinct officers were dispatched to a Person Down call at a business located at 6233 Blocton Avenue.

Officers arrived on the scene and then observed the victim lying unresponsive outside the business suffering from unknown trauma.

Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.

The preliminary investigation suggests a person driving by observed the victim lying unresponsive and then dialed 911. Our officers and detectives observed evidence on the scene that led us to believe this is a homicide investigation.

There is no one in custody.
