Two Juveniles Shot at West Birmingham Gas Station

The Birmingham Police Department has launched an assault investigation after two juveniles were shot in West Birmingham. The incident occurred on Monday, June 3, 2024.

The victims are:

  1. 15-year-old female
  2. 14-year=old male

At around 9:40 p.m., West Precinct officers received a Shot Spotter alert at the Gas Land gas station located at 1800 Bessemer Road.

Officers arrived on the scene when they observed a 15-year-old female and a 14-year-old male lying in the parking lot suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived and transported both victims to Children’s Hospital.

The preliminary investigation suggests the 15-year-old female victim has life-threatening injuries. The 14-year-old male victim has non-life-threatening injuries.

Both victims were in the parking of the Gas Land when an unknown suspect(s) fired shots at them from a vehicle.

We believe the victims were targeted.

There is no one in custody.
