Attempted Murder Investigation
The Birmingham Police Department Reports the suspect has been identified in the attempted murder of a Birmingham Police Officer and two citizens. The incident occurred on Saturday, November 1, 2020.
The suspect has been identified as:
Donnie Brock Jr., (28), B/M, of Birmingham, Alabama
Detectives presented the case to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office for review. After the assessment of information, BPD Detectives obtained warrants for (3)Attempted Murder charges and (3) Discharging a Firearm into an Occupied Vehicle charges. Brock was arrested and is currently in the custody of the Jefferson County Jail with no bond.
During this incident a Birmingham Police Officer discharged his weapon. An investigation consistent with the Birmingham Police Department protocols were initiated and investigators of the Internal Affairs Division are conducting an internal investigation. There were no injuries that resulted from this incident.
