Media Release 108-Homicide Investigation in the Inglenook Community (4232 41st Avenue North)
Homicide Investigation
The Birmingham Police Department reports detectives are conducting a homicide investigation. The incident occurred on Tuesday, May 31, 2022 in the Inglenook Community.
The victim has been identified as Tarlumi Bonner, (21), b/m, of Birmingham, Alabama.
At approximately 1:39 p.m., officers from the East Precinct responded to the 4200 block of 41st Avenue North on a call of multiple shots fired. Officers arrived and observed several bullet holes in the front window of 4232 41st Avenue North. Officers entered the residence and observed the victim Tarlumi Bonner unresponsive sitting on a sofa suffering from a gunshot wound. Bonner was pronounced deceased on the scene.
The preliminary investigation suggests several rounds were fired into the residence during a drive by shooting. No arrest has been made. Updates will be provided as this case develops
