Arrest Made After Threats Made at Local Daycare

The Birmingham Police Department reports an arrest has been made after threats were made toward staff and students at a local day care.

The suspect has been identified as Kayla Warren, (26), b/f, of Birmingham, Alabama.

On June 13, 2022, Kayla Warren made a threat to shoot staff members and students at New Hope Preschool after an altercation with a staff member. The incident was reported to the Birmingham Police Department and immediate action was taken.

Detectives obtained a warrant with the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office for Terroristic Threats towards a School. Warren was arrested and being held on $15,000 bond at the Jefferson County Jail.
