Arrest Made in Homicide Investigation

The Birmingham Police Department reports detectives have obtained a warrant for an arrest in connection to the murder of Bryan Keith Williams. Bryan Keith Williams was shot and killed on Monday, June 26, 2023, in 4200 Block of 13th Avenue North.

The suspect has been identified as:
Larry Dewayne Kimble Jr., (34), Birmingham, Alabama.

Birmingham Police Detectives presented information on the case to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office. After an assessment of the information, detectives obtained a warrant for Capital Murder.

On Wednesday, July 5, 2023, Larry Dewayne Kimble Jr. turned himself into the Jefferson County jail without incident.

Larry Dewayne Kimble Jr. was booked onto the Jefferson County jail under a No Bond.

 

Homicide Investigation
(Media Release 133)

The Birmingham Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation. The incident occurred on Monday, June 26, 2023.

The victim has been identified as:
Bryan Williams, (43), B/M of Birmingham, Alabama.

At approximately 1:55 PM, South Precinct officers were dispatched to an Open-Door Call in the 4200 Block of 13th Avenue N.

Officers arrived on scene and observed the open door of the residence. Upon entrance into the residence, officers observed an adult male, lying unresponsive suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

The preliminary investigation suggests a friend arrived at the residence and observed the open-door. The residence was in disarray and the friend felt concerned and called 911.

There is no one in custody.
