Homicide Investigation
The Birmingham Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation. The incident occurred on Friday, August 4, 2023.
The victim has been identified as:
Diangelo Freeman, (56), B/M, of Birmingham, Alabama
At approximately 9:50 PM, East Precinct officers were dispatched to the 7400 Block of 4th Avenue South on report of a Person Shot.
Officers arrived on the scene and then observed the victim unresponsive inside a vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced the deceased victim.
Details are limited in this investigation.
There is no one in custody.
