Two Unclassified Death Investigations
The Birmingham Police Department is conducting two unclassified death investigations after an adult female and an adult male were discovered deceased in the Dr. Morrell Todd Homes Housing Community. The incident occurred on Sunday, August 6, 2023.
The victims have been identified as:
- Saida White, (42), B/F, of Birmingham, Alabama.
- Antawn Daniel, (44), B/M, of Birmingham, Alabama.
At approximately 9:15 a.m., South Precinct officers were dispatched to an apartment in the 800 Block of 45th Place North on report of Two People Down.
Officers arrived on the scene and then entered the apartment when they discovered the victims unresponsive.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced the victims deceased.
The preliminary investigation suggests officers observed no obvious signs of foul play.
The Jefferson County Coroner’s Office took care and custody of the victims. The Jefferson County Medical Examiner’s Office will perform an autopsy on the victims to determine the cause of death.
