BPD Officers Arrest Violent Sexual Assault Suspect
The Birmingham Police Department would like to highlight a recent arrest our patrol officers made.
On Friday, August 4, 2023, Metro Nashville PD notified East Precinct officers that a suspect wanted out of Nashville, Tennessee for Aggravated Assault and Sexual Battery charges was reportedly in the East Birmingham area.

The suspect has been identified as:
Koreen Bush, (34), B/M, of Birmingham, Alabama.
East Precinct Task Force Officers went to a residence in the 900 Block of 52nd Way North in search of the suspect. Officers arrived at the residence and then took Koreen Bush into custody.
Koreen Bush had been on the run since June 2023; he will be extradited back to Tennessee.
