Media Release 240- Homicide Investigation- Cheri Lane
The Birmingham Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation. The incident occurred on Saturday, November 11, 2023.
The victim has been identified as:
Adonnis Xavier Bishop McQueen, (17), B/M, of Birmingham, Alabama.
At 9:11 p.m., East Precinct officers were dispatched to a Person Down call in the 400 Block of Cheri Lane.
Officers arrived on the scene and then observed the victim lying unresponsive in the roadway. Officers observed the victim had been shot.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
The preliminary investigation has revealed the victim is believed to have been shot in the 400 Block of Cheri Lane; officers observed spent shell casings on the scene. The victim lives in the area where he is believed to have been shot.
There is no one in custody.
