Birmingham Police Department Serving The Community For The Holidays 

The holiday season is upon us and the Birmingham Police Department is bringing the Christmas cheer to our citizens this year. Here is a list of events for the holiday season where we will be giving back to our communities:

December 13th, 2022: A group of retired officers will be presenting our Community Outreach and Public Education Division with toys for our sleigh ride. The presentation will be held at our COPE building at 7001 Crestwood Blvd, Birmingham, AL 35210 at 4:00 p.m.

In addition, we will be closing our our Citizens Police Academy and awarded our participants with certificates for graduating from the academy. The presentation will be at the Birmingham Police Academy at 401 6th Ave S Birmingham, AL, 35204 starting at 6:00 p.m.

December 19th and 20th, 2022: Our annual sleigh ride with Santa will be ready to make their appearance to all the little boys and girls for Christmas. The sleigh ride will depart from the Birmingham Police Department Headquarters (1710 1st Ave N, Birmingham, AL 35203) at 12:00 p.m.

December 21st, 2022: Our Community Safety Partnership has turned our East Precinct into a Winter Wonderland and will have treats for our community members. Our Winter Wonderland event will begin at 10 a.m. at East Precinct (600 Red Lane Birmingham, AL 35206). 

December 22nd 2022: There’s no Christmas without the Grinch making his appearance! Our Community Safety Partnership Unit will be teaming up with local community based organization to bring the Grinch to the Housing Communities. Grinch will be at Tom Brown Community Housing (4165 5th Ct N, Birmingham, AL 35222).
