Public’s Assistance with the Kendall Shack & Ivey Wilson III Double Homicide Investigation

Detectives request assistance from the public in obtaining information on a homicide that occurred on Sunday, December 8, 2019, in the 200 Block of Tucker Avenue, that claimed the lives of Kendall Shack and Ivey Wilson III.

East Precinct officers were dispatched to a report of a Person Shot. Officers arrived on the scene and discovered both victims in the roadway.

Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived and pronounced both victims deceased.

Homicide Investigation Update

(Media Release 303-2019)

The Birmingham Police Department reports that both victims have been identified in connection with a homicide investigation. The incident occurred on Sunday, December 8, 2019, at approximately 5:20 p.m.

The first victim has been identified as:

Kendall Jamal Shack, B/M, 18, of Birmingham, Alabama.

The second victim has been identified as:

Ivey Carter Wilson III, B/M, 18, of Birmingham, Alabama.

Officers from the East Precinct responded to a call of shots fired and a person down in the 200 block of Tucker Avenue.  Upon arrival, officers discovered two victims lying in the roadway unresponsive. Birmingham Fire and Rescue arrived with the Jefferson County Coroner and pronounced both subjects deceased on the scene.

No suspect(s) are in custody. Investigators are continuing to gather information. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
