Public’s Assistance with the Elizabeth Peterson Homicide Investigation

Detectives request assistance from the public in obtaining information on a homicide that occurred on Saturday, December 15, 2018, that claimed the life of Elizabeth Peterson in the 2100 Block of 17th Avenue South .

At around 10:30 p.m., South Precinct officers were dispatched to a Person Shot call at an apartment complex in the 2100 Block of 17th Avenue South.

Officers arrived on the scene and then observed Elizabeth Peterson lying unresponsive in the parking lot next to her Grey Hyundai.

Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced her deceased.

The preliminary investigation has revealed we believed Ms. Peterson had recently arrived to the complex; residents reported hearing an argument between her and an unknown person.

There is no one in custody.
