Arrest Made in Robbery Investigation Targeting Hispanic Victims
The Birmingham Police Department reports detectives have obtained warrants for an arrest in connection to multiple robbery investigations in Birmingham targeting the Hispanic Community.
The suspect has been identified as:
Evontay Martiz Blevins, 19, B/M, of Birmingham, Alabama.
The investigation was launched in October 2022.
Birmingham Police Detectives presented information on the case to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office. After an assessment of the information, detectives obtained at least 32 warrants for Robbery 1st Degree (Firearm).
Evontay Blevins was booked into the Jefferson County Jail on Friday, November 4, 2022, where he will remain under a $2,081,300 Bond.
NOTE: BPD withheld this arrest information in hopes to capture a second suspect (Jakobie Smith) involved in this investigation who has evaded capture.
