Homicide Investigation
The Birmingham Police Department reports detectives are conducting a homicide investigation. The incident occurred on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at approximately 5:20 p.m.
The identity of the deceased will be released upon confirmation and notification of immediate family.
Officers from the East Precinct responded to a call of shots fired and a person down in the 200 block of Tucker Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered two victims lying in the roadway unresponsive. Birmingham Fire and Rescue arrived with the Jefferson County Coroner and pronounced both subjects deceased on the scene.
No suspect(s) are in custody. Investigators are continuing to gather information. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
