Arrest Made in Robbery Investigation Involving Hispanic Victims
The Birmingham Police Department reports detectives have obtained warrants for an arrest in connection to multiple robbery investigations in Birmingham targeting the Hispanic Community.
The suspect has been identified as:
Taylor Haziel Montijo, (18), B/M, of Birmingham, Alabama.
Birmingham Police Detectives presented information on the case to the Jefferson County District Attorney’s Office. After an assessment of the information, detectives obtained two warrants for Robbery 1st Degree (Firearm). Jefferson County Jail records show an offense date of Friday, December 16, 2022.
East Precinct Task Force officers learned of Taylor Montijo’s Robbery Warrants and began searching for Montijo.
On Friday, February 10, 2023, at around 1:05 AM, East Precinct Task Force officers took Taylor Montijo into custody at an apartment complex in the 800 Block of Park Brook Trail.
East Precinct Task Force officers transported Taylor Montijo to the Jefferson County Jail where he will be held with No Bond.
