Robbery Investigation
The Birmingham Police Department reports detectives are conducting a robbery investigation. Detectives request assistance from the public in identifying a person of interest in the attached photo.
On Friday, February 26, 2021, West Precinct officers responded to 632 Lomb Avenue (Citgo Service Station) on report of a robbery. The investigation indicates the victim was at the location and had car trouble. The suspect then offered to assist the victim. The suspect then struck the victim in the face with a closed fist and took the victim’s cell phone. The suspect then fled the scene on foot.
If there is anyone with information on the identity of the suspect, we ask that they contact BPD Robbery Detectives at 205-254-1753 or remain anonymous by contacting Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777. If the tip to Crime Stoppers leads to an arrest, Crime Stoppers will provide a cash reward.
