Public’s Assistance in the Timothy Pinson Homicide Investigation

 Detectives request assistance from the public in obtaining information on a homicide which occurred on January 1, 2022 which claimed the life of Timothy Pinson.

At approximately 7:40 a.m., South Precinct officers were dispatched to 824 Cable Car Court on report of a person shot. Officers arrived on the scene and observed a male lying unresponsive in a silver sedan suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.

The preliminary investigation suggests a community member arrived home and found the victim in the parking lot. The shooting is believed to have taken place any time between the previous night to this morning when the community member discovered the victim.

Currently, there is no one in custody.

(Media Release 2)

The Birmingham Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation. The incident occurred on Saturday, January 1, 2022.

The victim has been identified as:

Timothy Dean Pinson, (32), W/M, of Birmingham, Alabama.

At approximately 7:40 a.m., South Precinct officers were dispatched to 824 Cable Car Court on report of a person shot. Officers arrived on the scene and observed a male lying unresponsive in a silver sedan suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.

This is Birmingham’s 2nd murder investigation of 2022.
