Robbery Investigation

The Birmingham Police Department reports detectives are conducting a robbery investigation. Detectives request assistance from the public in identifying a person of interest in the attached photo.

On Sunday, March 14, 2021, at approximately 9:40 p.m., East Precinct officers responded to 5901 1st Avenue North (Texaco Service Station) on report of a robbery of a business.

The investigation indicates that an unknown black male entered the business demanding money and made threats to harm the clerk. The suspect stole merchandise belonging to the business then exited the location and got into a silver crossover type SUV and fled the scene.

The suspect was described as a black male, bald, wearing tan cargo shorts, a black and red jacket, and slide type sandals.

If there is anyone with information on the identity of the suspect, we ask that they contact BPD Robbery Detectives at 205-254-1753 or remain anonymous by contacting Crime Stoppers at 205-254-7777. If the tip to Crime Stoppers leads to an arrest, Crime Stoppers will provide a cash reward.
