Homicide Investigation
The Birmingham Police Department is conducting a homicide investigation. The incident occurred on Monday, April 17, 2023.
The victim has been identified as:
Brandon Uqrhart, (22), B/M, of Birmingham, Alabama.
At around 2:15 AM, East Precinct officers were dispatched to an apartment complex in the 600 Block of Earline Circle on report of a Person Shot.
Officers arrived on the scene and located Brandon Uqrhart, inside an apartment, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
Birmingham Fire and Rescue transported him to UAB Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The preliminary investigation has revealed Brandon was shot outside of the apartment by an unknown suspect(s). The suspect(s) fled on foot.
There is no one in custody.
