Public’s Assistance with the Davon Everson Homicide Investigation

 Detectives request assistance from the public in obtaining information on a homicide that occurred on Saturday, February 3, 2018, that claimed the life of Davon Everson.

At around 5:20 PM, West Precinct officers were at a residence in the 2000 Block of 28th Street Southwest on report of Shots Fired.

Officers heard screams coming from an alleyway. Upon further investigation, officers observed 22-year-old Davon Everson lying next to his vehicle suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived on the scene and transported him to UAB Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

The preliminary investigation suggests Davon Everson was traveling in the area in his Blue Nissan Altima when an unknown suspect(s) fired shots into his vehicle striking him.

The suspect(s) is not in custody.
