Lieutenant Anthony Callaway has 25 years of Law Enforcement experience. He began his journey with BPD as a Police Patrol Officer for 16 years, where he maintained a state of readiness and alertness for all assignments and adapted quickly by providing community-oriented police services to improve and enhance quality of life community wide.
He served as a Police Patrol Sergeant for five years, where he provided management and support to the team of 30+ with the East Precinct, reducing process gaps and promoting productivity.
In the last 4 years, he served as Police Detective Sergeant with Crimes Against Property, Arson, and Financial Crimes. His goal and strategies were to train and mentor staff on correct procedures to maximize efficiency and protect the publics trust. Also, to communicate information on proper procedures, judicial processes and successful strategies for criminal investigations.
Lieutenant Callaway completed Miles College in May 1994 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management.
